DENMARK Primary School’s midwinter fete hosted a record number of visitors from as far as Perth and Bunbury recently.
Denmark Primary School Principal Damian Luscombe said while the end goal was to raise funds to replace much needed playground equipment for the school, there is no doubt that the highlight was seeing the thousands of smiley, happy faces of people enjoying themselves at our school.
With a mid-winter theme, the fete also saw much fun being had in the snowstorm tent, snow-ball toss, igloos, roasted marshmallows and a snow foam shower thanks to the fire trucks.
Visitors to the school were also able to catch a glimpse of celebrities including Anna Gare and Pepper & Salt restaurant Chef-Owner Silas Masih who judged the student Masterchef competition and basketballer Paul Rodgers.
Fabulous student performances from TAFE WA and Denmark Senior High School graced the main stage while roaming entertainers like Jaime the Clown and Gertrude Well-Ease mingled with the crowd.
