SEVERAL speakers at public question time praised CEO Bill Parker, who will leave the job this week and head to Perth, where he starts work with the City of Perth in early October.
All referred to his ground-breaking work in establishing the new Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework (IPRF) which for the first time in the shire’s history quantifies and evaluates public assets, and provides a strategy for maintaining them into the future.
Mr Parker’s personal contribution through sporting and social interactions were also highlighted.
In response, and with the CEO looking just a little overwhelmed, shire president Ceinwen Gearon commented that Mr Parker’s time here had clearly had a very positive effect, and on behalf the community she hoped that he and his family to return as visitors, as often as time allowed.
