TICKETS are now on sale for this year’s Opera in the Valley of the Giants.
On November 30 leading artistes from the West Australian Opera and WA Conservatorium of Music will perform a program of popular works by Puccini, Verdi and Mozart among the mighty tingles.
Singers include Naomi Johns, Fiona Campbell, Bradley Daley and Sam Roberts Smith, accompanied by Tommaso Pollio.
Following highly acclaimed concerts in 2017 and 2018 this year will continue the ‘concert for conservation’ theme, to encourage contributions towards research into the effects of fire on quokka populations and habitat management after the 2015 Northcliffe bushfire.
The event will also highlight the State government’s ‘16 days in WA to Stop Violence against Women’ campaign.
Ticket prices are the same as last year’s.
Parks and Wildlife Service regional manager Luke Bentley said that there would be no shuttle buses this year, and he encouraged people to carpool.
