THIS 16th annual Mount Barker Wildflower and Nature Photo competition attracted 375 entries – about a hundred more than last year.
Organisers say that this is a sign of the competition’s growing credibility and popularity.
The competition has five categories, covering Australian wildflowers, native flora and fauna, and landscapes or wilderness, and this year offered total prize money of $1950.
There is even a category for entrants who have not won a prize in the past three years.
This year’s judge was Dick Walker from Albany.
All entries will be on public display from October 18-27 at the Frost Oval pavilion in McDonald avenue.
Entry is by donation, and the doors are open from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day.
