Dance for kids and parents

CHILDREN will take the creative lead in dance workshops during the BNW festival that celebrates the special bond between parent and child.

Presented by Annette Carmichael Projects, the workshops for children aged 3-6 years and their parents, grandparents or carers will be led by guest dance artist Sandi Woo.

Brisbane-based Sandi is an independent producer, dance artist, community development facilitator and educator.

Sandi, who developed her child-centred creative process while living in Broome, said she was excited to bring the workshops to Denmark, particularly during festival time.

“The community is so open and creative – and moving together is so fun and playful,” she said.

“These things together are a perfect recipe for joy and connectivity between children and their parents.”
